Now, I invite you to join me on a journey of self-discovery and personal growth as I dive into the depths of pursuing my dreams beyond the confines of familiarity.
Home, for me, isn’t just a physical place; it’s a feeling of comfort and belonging that transcends earthly boundaries. As I ventured away from my place of comfort to pursue my passions, I discovered the transformative power of breaking boundaries and broadening perspectives.
Through my experiences, I aim to inspire and empower others to embrace change, step out their comfort zones, and embark of their own journeys of self-discovery and growth.
Breaking boundaries and facing challenges stepping out of comfort
Reflecting back from now, I was not half of the person I used to be. Challenges of life stepped in the way and into my mind misleading me and my souls purpose to why I was brought to this realm we call earth. Confronting fears, accepting what was and what is, led me to find a new way of overcoming obstacles for living.
I broke free from comfort at my lowest point of life because of how uncomfortable it was getting in my head. I waited around for something to change, waiting for it to come to me, shortly noticing that was never going to happen. I lost sight of the future as my past started slowly fading away from me. It felt like I was trying but now I realize I wasn’t at all.
The simplicity of applying myself and accepting what is, was all i needed to do. Influenced by a few uplifting friends I got an idea and vision of what it was that I wanted to do. Staying on top of this idea I didn’t let it go to waste and become nothing. Nurturing this idea, I allowed it to flourish into a reality, overcoming numerous challenges I finally broke the boundaries of comfort and faced my fears. January 7, 2024 I set off for a new start in the unknown with my current roommate and hometown friend Vinny.
Finding home in the unknown
As I mentioned earlier, home for me isn’t just a physical place; it’s a feeling of comfort and belonging that transcends earthly boundaries. Furthering this concept, home is rooted within the human experience, a place where one’s self can be embraced without judgement or pretending. Home is where traditions are upheld, and stories are passed down, weaving a narrative that binds the past, present, and future. Ultimately, home is not confined to a foundation or specific address; it’s a state of being, a feeling of belonging that transcends physical boundaries and resonates deep within the soul.
Home is found within the bonds that we create with others, in shared experiences that shape our identities in the language of compassion and understanding. A concept that knows no boundaries, inviting us to seek and belong in the most unexpected of places, something dynamic and expansive. Building relationships conveys a spiritual sense of comfort and belonging, suggesting a feeling of mutual respect and empathy. The search for home is ongoing, an internal journey – one involving personal growth, self-discovery, and the continuous exploration of meaningful connections with others.
I waited around “home” for nothing, overly consumed by my emotions led into a specific pattern of thoughts. I was unconsciously identified with these emotions through the lack of my presence, none the less becoming it. This thinking pattern created a reflection of itself in the form of an emotion, with such high frequency this emotion kept feeding back to the original thought pattern. Dwelling on so many things, from myself to past relationships I became the unknown, I felt as if I didn’t know myself anymore and time was flying by so fast It felt I would never find myself.
” Pain or suffering arises through desire or craving and that to be free of pain, we need to cut the bonds with desire.”

With nothing to lose and a forthcoming mindset if I changed locations and got away from “home,” I would finally gather pieces of myself along the way. Although things do not happen at the snap of a finger, surely enough, I did just that. I became influenced and slowly taught; I found that I am this person; I just have to be that person. The hardest part of it all is that it’s buried deep within our obnoxiously loud minds, never getting quiet but only for very brief moments and then continuing. I have found home within the comfortability of my environment and connections I have built from the ground up, never failing to see that I am this person who can be, when I am being. Seemingly silly to say, but nothing is more real and important than now, the present. It’s a very long road to being, and without opening our minds, ears, and eyes we will never be able to sense where home is.
Concluding this journey of discovery
Through these few brief topics, I aim to offer readers a glimpse into my personal journey of growth and transformation, while also providing insights and inspiration for their own paths of self-discovery and empowerment. As I reflect on this journey of venturing away from comfort, I am reminded that it is okay to learn from the past but to not dwell on it emotionally. With many great lessons to gain from where you started to now, it is important that you accept what is and focus on now. There is no future or past; they only exist in our thoughts. Focus your attention on the present moment, for it is the only reality.
